The Rav-Kav is a personal, smart electronic card designed to make your travel easier. Instead of using cash, you can load your card with credit and use it seamlessly across our company's bus lines (with the exception of the Haifa area).

  • Personalized: The card features the owner’s name and photograph.
  • Long-lasting: Each card remains valid for eight years from the date of issue.
  • Non-Transferable: This is a personal card and may only be used by its registered owner.

Travel Passes – "Derech Shava" Reform

The "Derech Shava" reform standardizes public transport prices based on distance and vehicle type.

Fares by Distance: Fares are calculated based on aerial distance (up to 15km, 40km, 75km, etc.). Local bus trips up to 15km now cost 5.5 NIS.

National Monthly Pass (225 NIS): Unlimited travel on buses and light rails nationwide (up to 225km) for 225 NIS/month. To include Israel Railways (up to 40km), the price is 255 NIS/month.

Regional Monthly Pass (99 NIS): For travel up to 40km between towns outside the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv (Gush Dan), and Haifa metropolitans, the price is 99 NIS/month.

Free Travel for 75+: Seniors 75+ travel free nationwide. To activate this, perform a one-time profile update at a service station or via the app. For more info, just visit the app or website at https://ravkavonline.co.il.

Youth Discount (50%): Youth profile holders receive a 50% discount on both "Accumulated Value" and Monthly Passes.

Disability/National Insurance Discounts: Eligible passengers (Disability/National Insurance) receive a 50% discount when loading Accumulated Value (e.g., pay 50 NIS and receive 100 NIS credit). For more info on special discount profiles, just visit the app or website at https://ravkavonline.co.il.

Where Can You Load the Card?

On the Bus: Loading is done at the driver's station.

At the Metronit: Loading is done at the platforms via charging stations (Cash or Credit). Follow the touch-screen instructions.

Charging Stations: Available at many locations such as "Super-Pharm," gas stations, and Israel Post. For more info, visit the list of stations at https://alhakav.mot.gov.il.

Smartphone Loading: Use the apps "Rav-Kav Online" or "HopOn." For more info, just visit the app or website at https://ravkavonline.co.il or https://hopon.co.il.

Computer Loading: Visit the websites https://ravkavonline.co.il or https://hopon.co.il.

Important! Loading a travel arrangement onto your card is not the same as validating. You must validate your card every time you board the bus or at the Metronit platform!

Validation

On the Bus: Validation is performed by the driver. Before validating, inform the driver of your destination and that you wish to pay using the "Accumulated Value" arrangement.

What is "Accumulated Value" (Erech Tzavur)?

Accumulated Value is a payment arrangement that allows you to load monetary credit onto your Rav-Kav card for travel throughout the country.

Flexible Travel: This arrangement allows for free transfers within 90 minutes for distances up to 15 km from your starting station nationwide.

Maintains Discounts: Your eligibility for discounts is preserved, with the discount applied at the time of loading.

Convenience: It replaces traditional paper multi-trip tickets and serves as a single solution for various fare rates.

Validity: The card is valid on the Metronit and bus lines operated by: G.B. Tours, Dan BaTzafon, Egged, Superbus, Nativ Express, Nazareth Travel and Tourism, and United Bus Services Nazareth.

How it works: When you load your Rav-Kav card, the amount of "credit" added is based on your specific eligibility profile. While a full fare is deducted during your journey, you receive more value upfront if you are eligible for discounts.

Loading Options:

Pay 30 NIS: Get 30 NIS (Regular) or 60 NIS (Youth/Senior/National Insurance/Student).

Pay 50 NIS: Get 50 NIS (Regular) or 100 NIS (Youth/Senior/National Insurance/Student).

Pay 100 NIS: Get 100 NIS (Regular) or 200 NIS (Youth/Senior/National Insurance/Student).

Pay 150 NIS: Get 150 NIS (Regular) or 300 NIS (Youth/Senior/National Insurance/Student).

Pay 200 NIS: Get 200 NIS (Regular) or 400 NIS (Youth/Senior/National Insurance/Student).
